Alternate Fridays starting June 17

Have you always wanted to learn a certain technique but weren't sure how to get started? Are you confused by "ease" in patterns? Tired of the same old cast on and bind off? Join Elise on alternate Fridays throughout the summer and into fall to tackle a variety of techniques and anything else you might have questions about.

All sessions are 1.5 hours long unless otherwise noted. Class size is limited to 6 people and masks are required at all times. If you would like to register for more than one Drop-In session, please put the total number of sessions in your cart, and specify which dates you wish to attend.

June 17: Cast on Techniques - Learn 4 essential ways to cast on: long tail, old norwegian, provisional, cable.

July 1: Project Drop in - Bring your current project in for any assistance needed.

July 15: Bind off Techniques - Learn essential bind offs: standard, i-cord, Jeny's Surpisingly Stretchy, more if time allows. Students should bring 1 or 2 prepared stockinette swatches still on needles.

July 29: Untangling Ease, Gauge, and Swatching (Lecture 1 hour) What are these things and why are they important? Learn how to choose a good pattern and all the steps necessary to create a perfect finished garment.

August 12: Project Drop-in

August 26: Fixing 101 (2 hrs) How to tink, put in lifelines, pick up dropped stitchess, untwist stitches. Students should bring a large prepared swatch.

September 9: Increase Techniques - Learn Kf&B, M1, lifted, and yarn over increases.

September 23: Learn to Steek (2 hrs) Learn a basic steeking technique and cut a prepared swatch. Students will need to bring a prepared swatch, crochet hook, and extra yarn.

October 7: Project Drop-in
