In this 3-hour virtual workshop, Georgia will share some of the ways that she uses deconstructed traveling cables to create strong architectural lines in her knitted fabrics and designs. She’ll walk you through the simple cabling techniques that she uses, with a few extra twists, and you’ll get to try each one out for yourself.
Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off (she will be teaching basic cables and a few other little bits in the class, no prior knowledge necessary)
Happiest when walking the city streets, Georgia finds inspiration in the lines and textures of modern architecture which inform her designs at every stage, from research to stitch. She would describe her design style as a mix of contemporary and classic, architecturally inspired, with clean graphic lines, geometric shapes and fresh colors. Georgia is based in the U.K.
You can find her gorgeous designs in several recent Rowan Magazines, Mode at Rowan Collection Four; Textured Tweed Haze; My London; and Abstract.
