Calligraphy Wine Boutique

264 State Street, Los Altos
4 - 6 pm

There's nothing like unwinding with a glass of crisp Chardonnay or velvety Pinot Noir with a relaxing knit or crochet project in your hands - and even better when you're supporting a local, women-owned business! Join us for a delicious wine tasting, linen-blend yarn tasting and stitch session at Calligraphy Wine Boutique in downtown Los Altos (in the former Baskin-Robbins site.)

Winemaking, like calligraphy, can be described as an artistic process of forming beautiful characters and arranging them by hand in a delicate way so the end result possesses integrity, harmony, ancestry and rhythm.

Having immigrated from India and lived in California for over fifteen years, owner Pooja Gorthy's life is a blend of art, music and technology. She feels a deep connection between winemaking, art and symbolism which led her to choose Calligraphy as her wine's name.

During winemaker Megan Baccititch’s 10-year tenure as Director of Winemaking for Paul Hobbs Winery, she has walked and nurtured wines from some of the finest vineyards in California and Oregon, earning multiple 100-point scores for her wines.
A Healdsburg, Calif. native, Megan Baccitich embraces the mentality of winegrowing-as-farming to create stunning expressions of terroir. Her pedigree and roster of clients also convey her intention to create projects that capture the combination of intriguing vineyard sites, like-minded collaborators and wines that stand for more than what's inside a bottle.
