Another month, another party to celebrate YOUR birthday!

Join us for our Birthday Club celebration on the last Saturday of the month - simply share your birth month and email address with us, and you'll be invited to enjoy treats and a 10% discount on your purchases when your birthday month comes around.

You can even bring a friend or two - when they sign up for birthday club, you ALL receive the discount!  


Stitches on State Customer Fashion Show - NEW DATE!

Come strut your stuff on our red carpet! It's time to shine in our annual customer fashion show. We decided to move the event to February to spotlight your finished projects from Finish It February!

We love to celebrate your finished projects, and this fun and casual event is a great to way to show off your accomplishments and mingle with other makers. The ticket price includes one drink (beer,wine or soda) from the bar and heavy appetizers, plus we'll photograph your looks in front of the paparazzi-ready backdrop.

Yarn Swap

Your disappointing stash is someone else's treasure! Our annual Yarn Swap is the perfect time to clean out your bags, cabinets and storage bins and make room for yarn that sparks joy. 

Yarn drop off will be from 9-10:30 am at the Garden House; doors will open at 11 am. Participants who bring yarn to the swap will be given first entry. Please read the guidelines about what we can and cannot accept.

 

Finish It February
Through February 28

Twice a year we motivate you to wrap up any lingering WIPs so you can cast on something new with a clear conscience - and enjoy wearing (or gifting) your hard work. Each project* you finish before February 28, 2026 earns an entry into our prize drawing, and the grand prize is a $100 gift certificate to Uncommon Threads!

*Which projects are eligible for our prize drawing?

Anything you've finished since October 1, 2025 using more than 50% yarn purchased at Uncommon Threads is valid for entering. It doesn't matter when you started it, as long as it's finished between October 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026. Enter as many projects as you can! All yarn crafts are welcome: knitting, crochet, weaving, felting.

FIBERSIDE CHATS

We're delighted to partner with Longmont Yarn Shoppe to bring you fascinating guests from all over the world to talk about anything related to fiber! Registration for each virtual event is through www.longmontyarn.com and when you choose Uncommon Threads as your LYS, a portion of the $20 registration fee comes back to us. Registration will close 1.5 hours before beginning of each event. Many of the events are recorded and available after the live event is over, so even if you can't make it live you can still enjoy the presentation!

Erika Åberg - knitwear designer and author - will join us at our Fiberside to talk about her newly published book Island Knitting - Beautiful Knitting Patterns Inspired by Coastal Landscapes. Together we will embark on a knitting journey through the captivating landscapes of Shetland, the Outer Hebrides, Gotland and Blidö. The book features 20 patterns inspired by the sea, wind and spirit of each island. Erika will show a selection of samples from the book, share the stories behind the design; the wool, the landscape and how the designs carry the place, landscape and memories in every stitch from these islands of central seclusion. As a designer, she loves to bring all of this into each garment, reflecting heritage, body, warmth and everyday life. We will talk about all of this and life on island of Gotland, in the middle of the Baltic Sea.
