Appalachian Baby was guided in designing this traditional sweater and cap by the Cordova Gansey Project, a group of knitters who are keeping this heritage fishing sweater design culturally relevant. The kit is offered in Indigo U.S. Organic Cotton or our Shaniko Washable Wool; and includes pattern booklet for pullover and watch cap, plus wooden buttons for the shoulder placket. The kit is sized for 12m & 24m.
The cotton kit comes with four balls of Indigo sport weight U.S. Organic Cotton, 3 oz: 194 yd/177 m.
The wool kit comes with four balls of Shaniko Washable Wool; 4 oz., 263 yd/240m.
