Attention! It's a new late-summer knit-along for you, because who doesn't love a knit-along?
If you've visited the shop before, you might have noticed our colorful wall of Spincycle yarns and thought to yourself, how do I use these? Andrea Mowry is known for her use of texture and color. She's also known for her knit-along projects, built with warmth and generous community spirit, like the annual "Rhinebeck Sweater KAL" which we come to expect from her as an exciting new sweater challenge each year. This year, she doesn't disappoint with the Antipodes (pronounced an-TIH-puh-deez) sweater. A fine knit sweater, using fingering weight and a light sport (or fingering) for the contrast color, the Antipodes immediately had us running around the store playing with color combinations and imagining finished sweaters.
The Antipodes KAL starts on August 19 so we can all have a sweet and beautiful fall sweater finished in time for the first days of cooler weather. Our Antipodes Sweater knit-along cruise director will be Erin Laser, our official Andrea Mowry and Spincycle Yarns fan girl. There will be no formal instruction, but Erin is more than happy and able to help out with techniques along the way, such as reading charts, tubular bind-offs, and more.

Contrast color: Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball, or a colorful yarn from your stash!
