Learn how to knit stranded colorwork in this two session class by working on Caitlin Hunter's Cold Hearts Cowl.  Stranded colorwork is a knitting technique in which multiple (usually two) colors are used in a single row or round to create a pattern. Once you’ve mastered the basics with this sweet accessory, the sky is the limit for larger projects such as sweaters and cardigans with steeks. Plus, you will have just finished your first gift for the 2026 holiday season- in August!

Materials needed (not included in class fee):
- 70/100 yds. heavy DK or worsted yarn in Main Color
- 60/95 yds. in Contrast Color
- 16 in. circular needles in size US 6/4mm and US 7/4.5mm
- the pattern, purchased through Ravelry : Cold Hearts Cowl

Suggested yarns:
- Malabrigo Rios
- Berroco Ultra Alpaca
- Berroco Ultra Wool
- Berroco Lanas

Skill level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate. Students should be comfortable with casting on and off, knitting in the round, purl stitch.
