Summer Tees with Easy, Sophisticated Style

Knitted tees are my favorite projects for summer, because you can combine the ease of a basic tee with the refinement of a unique stitch pattern or beautiful yarn. I'm done trading comfort for style, and luckily you can have both! Read on for some recent pattern releases that have caught my eye.

The Classic: Ranunculus

Ranunculus

Ranunculus by Midori Hirose is probably the most popular pattern on Ravelry, with almost 36,000 projects listed - astounding! The beauty of the pattern is that it can be made with any weight of yarn with lovely results, with a short-sleeved option perfect for summer.

Ranunculus is a top-down, round yoke pullover with lace and textured stitches, designed with a yoke pattern to look like you're wearing layers of a necklace. You can knit this up in any weight from lace to light fingering to worsted weight yarn. The degree of transparency depends on the weight of yarn you use. Knitting with thin yarn on big needle gives light, transparent and airy texture to this pullover, which is a versatile addition to your summer wardrobe.
