The Yarn I've Been Thinking About for a Year
The Color of Calm
Have you ever walked into a space that felt so distinct and beautiful that you wanted to stay there forever? That's what happened to me at the H&H trade show last year, standing in front of a wall of Kokon Bleu.
It's no secret that I love blue - all its variations, all its moods. These soft, watery shades do something for me that's hard to explain and easy to feel: like a lake on a still morning, or the ocean just before the light changes. I've been thinking about this yarn for a year. This summer I finally brought it home.
Kokon Bleu is a luxury yarn brand hand-dyed in the Netherlands, with an ethical approach to production that extends to fiber, people, and process. I've started with six colors of their Merino Linen and a selection of shawl kits - a first taste of a collection I think you're going to love. Read on to find your shade.

Inspired by decorative Japanese embroidery, Little Stitches is a top-down triangular shawl that mixes delicate patterns into bands of transitioning colors, for a subtle, patched-together effect.

"Song of the Waves" perfectly describes the play of colors and textures in this wrap. The design is inspired by a Sardinian beach with clear turquoise water, and its atmosphere is reflected in the various structural elements. Delicate layers with beads, lateral braids, and short rows create a natural wave effect. Kit includes yarn only. Purchase pattern directly on Ravelry.
