Many of you may have read in the local news that our building was sold recently, and that our lease would not be renewed. I've been incredibly touched by your concern about how Uncommon Threads would continue, and so grateful for your letters of support to the city leaders.
Between some diligent searching and a wonderful stroke of serendipity, I've found a new home for Uncommon Threads at 164 Main Street in Los Altos! It's just around the block from us and I know you'll love it
as much as I do.
The move is bittersweet - our current space on State Street has been home to Uncommon Threads for 40 years. We are so thankful for all of the amazing memories and friendships we've made here. But even good things come to an end, and I'm very excited to make a fresh start in a beautiful new space. As luck would have it, our new landlord was good friends with the former owner of Uncommon Threads, Louise Spangler. It was meant to be! I can't wait to continue to build our amazing yarn community there.
Stay tuned for more news soon about the relocation, as we plan to close for a few days in mid- to late June to move inventory. But beyond that, nothing will change with regards to gift cards, store credits, points, Knit Night, Crafternoon, and our classes and events. We'll still have your favorite brands of yarns, needles, and notions. Just a new location - with a bit more sun - to look forward to!
