This is a two part class
Class 1: Saturday, October 3rd
Class 2: Saturday, October 17th
10 am - 1 pm

Learn the basics of knitwear design from sketch to sweater in this special two-session class! Students will start with a swatch of their choosing, create a schematic sketch, and learn how to use gauge math to write a pattern for a custom-fit drop shoulder sweater.

Level: Intermediate or Adventurous Beginner

Supplies & Homework:
Before the first class-
1) Select a yarn and needle size and knit a large gauge swatch (at least 5x5") in stockinette stitch in the round. The most important consideration is creating a fabric that you like - consider playing around with yarn and needle combinations until you are happy with the result. (Make sure you have enough yarn for a whole sweater!) Please block your swatch.
2) Bring your favorite shirt/sweatshirt/sweater to measure in class.
